A Purrfect Friend is on the lookout for a couple of new fosterers. Whilst fostering is very rewarding, it isn’t for everyone. You would need to have transportation and spare time to pick up and take cats to the vets and have plenty of patience as not all cats are cuddly and loving. Preferably you should be a homeowner or you will need to provide written permission from your landlord that they will allow cats to be fostered in their premises.
If you were considering volunteering and would like to be an indoor fosterer and you have cats of your own, you would need to have a dedicated room to keep the foster cat in, as it is a condition that they are kept separate due to quarantine restrictions. The cats must never be allowed to go outdoors so windows etc must be kept shut. Fostering is a decision that does affect everyone in the household so it is imperative that all family members are supportive.
All food, litter and equipment would be provided by A Purrfect Friend. If you are interested and would like to discuss further can you email [email protected] with your details including name, address and contact phone number and previous experience if applicable and someone will get back to you. Fostering is hard work but very rewarding, especially when the cats go to their new homes and you know you have helped them in their journey.
