Adopt a Cat

Thank you for visiting our adoption page. There are many cats needing homes locally, waiting for an owner to give them love, care, and attention.

We aim to make sure that all cats and kittens in our care are ready for their new homes. Before our cats are ready for adoption, they will have received a health check by a veterinary professional; we also offer 5 weeks free insurance with Agria. See our FAQs below for more details.

If you have found a cat on our website that you are interested in giving a home, email us on [email protected] or telephone 07752774852 and let us know which cat you are interested in. One of our volunteers will contact you for an informal chat, you may then be given the contact details of a fosterer so that you may then meet your chosen cat. Please note our adoption fee is £70.

Please read our Rehoming Policy document which outlines everything you need to know about adopting a cat from A Purrfect Friend.

Katie & Kevin - Reserved

Katie and Kevin are ready for the right home. We know what they were like in their multi-cat home, and we know what they're like in care, but we don't know how they'll react to a loving home and the right people. They need to be with someone who will accept them as they are, and give them time to come round at their own pace. It's possible that they'll always be timid, it's also possible that they'll turn into absolute love bugs when they realise they have a lovely new home. They're about fifteen months old now, so just out of kittenhood. Kevin is the grey and white boy. Katie is his black and white sister. They are probably litter mates, but we don't know for sure. They should be fine with another cat. We are happy to rehome them together or separately.

Midnight

Midnight is a shy young female cat who was living on the edge, terrified, fighting for every meal, harassed by tom cats and scared of her own shadow. She only ventured out at night, but our determined volunteers managed to catch her and take her into care. She's been neutered now, and is in great health, but she's still very cautious and won't let people touch her. We can't put her back outside, she was barely surviving out there - she needs a home with a very special someone who will allow her to come round at her own pace. She would LOVE a home with other cats or older kittens, seeing them interact and cuddle might encourage her to take that step.
She was still a kitten when we rescued her. We estimate that she's now somewhere between twelve and eighteen months old.

Vinnie -Reserved

Vinnie is two years old and an absolutely lovely boy. He wasn't getting on with the other cats in his previous home, so would probably be better off as an only cat. Vinnie is neutered and microchipped, and has had his first vaccinations.

Cheeky

Cheeky is a little shy at first but comes round well. He loves being stroked and will come looking for attention. Is ok at being picked up but is something that he will warm up to when fully settled. He is 5 years old.
